Authorities probe death of unresponsive 12-year-old at McMinnville home

Police in McMinnville, Oregon, are looking into the death of a 12-year-old child at a residence in the community.

Law enforcement officers responded to a home in the 1200 block of SW Darci Drive on Tuesday morning after receiving a call about an unresponsive child.

Emergency crews attempted life-saving measures on the child, but the individual was ultimately pronounced dead at the location. Officials have not disclosed the cause or manner of death.

Investigators with the Yamhill County Major Crime Response Team have launched an inquiry, which remains active.

According to authorities, the situation is an “isolated incident to the victims connected to this incident at this time.”
