Patrick Clancy Goes for a Run Before First Interview Following Lindsay Clancy Mistrial

Patrick Clancy stepped out ahead of his first interview after Lindsay Clancy’s mistrial.

On Sept. 16, the 38-year-old was seen jogging, wearing a Boston Children’s Hospital hat. He had previously ran the Boston Marathon in 2024 in honor of his three late children, Cora, Dawson and Callan.

At the time, he wore a shirt that said on the back, “In memory of Cora, Dawson & Callan. Every mile, every day.”

The sighting comes ahead of his sit-down interview with 60 Minutes Sept. 20, his first since Lindsay’s murder case ended in a mistrial Sept. 4.

Though he testified, admitting he’s forgiven his ex, Patrick has worked to keep a low profile, only occasionally being spotted out in NYC with new wife Rachel Danis. The pair wed in April, more than three years after the death of his kids.

What Was Lindsay Clancy Accused Of?

Lindsay’s murder trial centered on the deaths of her kids Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, who were killed Jan. 24, 2023, in their Duxbury, Mass., home.

As Patrick testified, that evening, Lindsay requested him to pick up medication at CVS, then grab takeout for dinner. When he returned home, he found her lying in the backyard after jumping out a second-story window in a failed suicide attempt. In their basement, he discovered Cora, Dawson and Callan strangled with exercise bands.

While her defense team argued that she was experiencing postpartum psychosis, the prosecution pointed to “deliberate premeditation and extreme atrocity and cruelty.”

“This was a woman who acted intentionally, rationally and swiftly to accomplish a very specific goal: to kill,” Plymouth County Assistant District Attorney Shanan Buckingham told jurors. “This was a woman who no longer liked the life she thought she wanted.”

What Was Lindsay Clancy’s Defense?

Her defense attorney Kevin Reddington did not dispute she killed the children, but he argued that she was unable to understand the wrongfulness of her actions given the psychosis.

“This is a woman that was suffering from psychosis at the time that she went down to that basement,” he told jurors during his opening statement. “She had no motive. She loved her children. She intended to kill herself. She didn’t fake that.”

After the jury could not reach a unanimous decision, with jurors deadlocked 11-1 in favor of declaring her not guilty by reason of insanity, the judge called a mistrial.

Lindsay is due back in court Sept. 29.
