Virendra Singh Bhandari has submitted an appeal in India to halt a gubernatorial appointment. He requested the action until the Central Bureau of Investigation concludes an ongoing probe.
Bhandari is the father of Ankita Bhandari. He directed his appeal to the President of India on October 15, 2026. The filing asks that Dushyant Kumar not become a Governor.
The father demanded full accountability in the case. Bhandari stated that Kumar belongs behind bars. He opposed any gubernatorial appointment.
Early winter snowfall also began in Himachal Pradesh on October 15, 2026. Snow blanketed higher valleys in white. Bharatpur, Baralacha, and Suraj Tal recorded snowfall.
The Central Bureau of Investigation handles major national inquiries in India. A presidential appeal formally requests executive intervention in state appointments.
Winter conditions continue in Himachal Pradesh. Bhandari awaits official review of his legal petition.
