How juvenile cases typically proceed in Delaware
Juvenile charges in Delaware are handled in Family Court, where cases are kept separate from adult criminal proceedings. Defendants released on unsecured bonds or criminal summonses are typically required to appear at a later court date. Disorderly conduct and trespassing are summary offenses in Delaware, generally punishable by fines or court-ordered programs rather than jail time for minors.
