Suspect Alexandros Paporakis was arrested in Aurora after an alleged Hindu temple mass shooting plot. The incident prompted foreign affairs officials to demand zero tolerance toward hate-motivated violence.
The 19-year-old suspect is from Palatine, Illinois. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal officially condemned the plot in October 2026.
