Two Palm Coast residents now face charges after authorities say they fled a crash that injured another driver, collected their broken truck parts from the street, and concealed the vehicle inside a residential garage.
The crash occurred on Aug. 28 at the intersection of Russell Drive and Ruth Drive in Palm Coast. According to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck struck another vehicle with enough force to crack the car’s engine block and injure the driver. Investigators reported that both occupants of the truck stepped out, gathered broken pieces that had scattered onto the roadway, and drove away from the scene.

A witness reported seeing the damaged truck speeding away. A subsequent tip led deputies to a residence on Roxbury Lane, located less than a mile from the crash site.
Surveillance footage from a neighbor’s security camera showed the damaged Dodge Ram arriving at the home about three minutes after the crash. The video captured one occupant running to the front door while the other opened the garage. The truck rolled inside, and the garage door closed behind it.
Deputies identified the driver as Nina Holley, 43, and the passenger as Matthew Green, 38, both of Palm Coast. Records showed Holley was driving on a suspended license and had four prior convictions for driving while her license was suspended.
“You can try to hide the evidence, but you can’t hide it from the Sheriff’s Office. These two crashed into someone, injured them, and then figured picking up the pieces and shutting the garage door would make it all disappear,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “If you cause a crash and run, we are going to find you and hold you accountable.”
Deputies charged Holley with leaving the scene of a crash involving injuries, tampering with evidence, and driving with a suspended license (third or subsequent offense). Green faced charges of tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact.
Both were booked into the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility. Holley posted a $7,500 bond and was released, while Green remains held without bond.
According to sheriff’s office records, Holley has past felony convictions for selling or possessing controlled substances with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a school or park, resulting in a two-year state prison sentence. Her record also includes convictions for possession of controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, felony petit theft, retail theft, and trespassing.
Green has served three separate state prison terms for felony convictions including the sale of oxycodone, attempted robbery, grand theft of a firearm, and attempted burglary of a structure. He was released from his latest prison term in June 2025 and also has prior convictions for battery and retail theft.
The Roxbury Lane home had previously been searched by law enforcement on Aug. 6, when the FCSO Special Investigations Unit, Major Case Unit, and SWAT team served a warrant connected to an active overdose death investigation. During that operation, deputies seized fentanyl and drug paraphernalia, arresting three individuals including Green, who was charged at the time with possession of fentanyl, tampering with evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia. That case remains open.
